They don't show which is why I used the "Code" option when showing you how to format the HTML post. Can you upload the HTML file to a post so I can see what happens if I try it?

Ted

Something goofy with that post maybe a formatting error.  Let me just get a whole new export and try with something fresh.

That's not working for me either. Unfortunately the forum doesn't support all HTML commands - it only has limited support for basic HTML. I'll see if I can come up with something else for you.

Ted

Like I said before don't spend much effort.  I can figure out an alternative to posting tables and such.  And I'm not in a hurry as I'm working through some kinks with getting the sim set up for the season I want.

Made good progress today.  Was able to edit fictional Jason, Brad, Brent, and my alter ego, nascar racing persona Turd Manley, into the drivers list for the 67 season.  I put us all in different 2.7L cars except Brad in a 2L Lotus and Turd in a F2 car.  Turd's purpose is to be the absolute lowest yardstick to measure results against since he's in a 1.6L so if you finish the race, but finish lower than Turd something really went wrong.  Brad's 2L is almost identical in BHP to the 2.7s that the rest of us are in so he isn't handicapped by the choice.  In fact, that Lotus 33 is a really sweet car and I found it really fun to drive, but couldn't stand the high whine of the engine.

The one glitch I can't get around is getting the new drivers' numbers to show on their cars.  Help online says something about the numbers being hardcoded to the drivers so I'm still searching for a solution to that.  It's not the end of the world if the cars don't have numbers.  It just looks funny in replays, but the cars all being different for the new drivers makes it easy to recognize who is who on the track.

Right now I'm in the Eagle T1F, Jason is in the Cooper T79, Brad is in the Lotus 33, and Brent is in the BRM261.  These cars are all comparable to Bob Anderson's BT-11, a privateer who competed part of the 67 season before being killed in an accident at Silverstone.  I'm a little tempted to remove Anderson from the list and replace him with a fictional driver for the BT-11.  Once I make that decision I'll have a list up of the drivers, teams, and cars.

Ran two races at Kyalami today, both 12 laps with 30 minutes of practice (qualifying).  It was a hoot.  The new drivers were in both of the races and as expected we were all running rest of the pack, but competitive in our backfield with each other.

Finally, a handy reference for the 1967 season https://www.oldracingcars.com/f1/1967/

Testing image post

Jason

I thought you got the HTML working. The image looks great.

Ted

I tried a couple of different things including a direct copy/past of your html and it still didn't work.  So I tried just taking a snippet of the html export and editing it in paint and thought, that looks absolutely fine and it's easy so I'm going with that.

Ted

Results from the first Kyalami practice race.  Please excuse the poor cropping of the grid image.

Ted

Sample newspaper result Kyalami.

Jason

Everything looks great. Nice job.

Ted

Just an update.  I ran into a bug that messed with the results that show up at the end of a race. I'm not sure if it's the game, the 67 mod, or the mod I did by changing the drivers' names to fictional online buddies.  I'm avoiding a reinstall but it may come to that.  For now the project is on a temporary hold, mostly because I enjoy racing more than working the problem  :-[
