I'll probably pick this up. It's made by the developers of Circuit Superstars.

So is this a new title separate from the iRacing subscription service?

Edit:  Just watched the video and I guess it is completely different.  Looks like they're recognizing there is an audience for Formula Legends type racing.  Looks pretty good.

I thought they completely ripped off Formula Legends, even the HUD, but it's apparently been out on PC for a while.

Review for this are very good. I'm definitely going to pick this up once it goes on sale.

I finally had a chance to try it out yesterday and it's a lot of fun. The gameplay definitely leans towards an arcade style racing, but it's literally in the name. There's not a lot of settings to mess with and I haven't even found how to change the camera yet, but I'm hoping to play much more tonight.

Curious to know: does the steering still feel like it's got a bit too much self-centring, so when you exit a corner you're always going kind of where you expected to, instead of exactly where you aimed it?

A difficult thing to explain (as you've probably noticed...) but Circuit Superstars had it and I could never quite wrap my brain around it. I'd either strangle all of my momentum holding too much steering for too long coming off a corner, or I'd go wobbling off the road instead.

I'll look specifically for that issue tomorrow. I also own and played a lot of Circuit Superstars and find it much easier to control the cars in iRacing Arcade, but that could also be because it's not using an isometric view.

I ran a bunch of laps today and didn't notice what you were describing. The car centers itself around turns when you release the analog stick, like it should, but it kept going in the same direction if you held it.

I also confirmed that there's no settings to adjust steering/driving so you're stuck with what they give you, which has been fine with me so far.

Having started my career this weekend, I do have some complaints about the game.

The first complaint is that you start every race in last place. There's no qualifying. What makes this even worse is that there's qualifying in quick races. Why would they include it for quick races but not career mode is baffling.

The second complaint is race length during career mode. Once again this is something you can set for a quick race, but have no control over in career mode.  The biggest problem with this is that the early races are all very short (anywhere from 1 to 5 laps), which makes pitting not necessary since your gas, tires and damage are all non-factors in such a short race.

I hope iRacing fixes these issues in an update, but it's still like this on the PC version which has been out for a while now.

I'm about 6 hours in my career, and while I have a few complaints with the game (see above), I can say that it's very addicting. Every time I think I'm going to only race a few races, I end up racing for much longer.
